 My wife and I bought our first house today. We have been blessed to secure well-paying jobs that allowed us to purchase an upper-middle-class home in the eastern Tennessee area. This morning we closed on our new home, the house is still under construction. We decided to drive over and walk through the house and check the builder’s progress. While we were walking through, I noticed the neighbor across the street kept peeking out his window at us. We would wave and smile and he would ignore us and close his blinds. As we were getting in the truck to leave he came running out of his house yelling for us to stop. I asked him if there was a problem, he said: “ yes, I don’t know why y’all in our neighborhood but we don’t take kindly to thieves and criminals, the police are on the way”. I explained to him that we just bought the house, even pointed at the fresh SOLD sign, he responded: “ that people like us couldn’t afford houses here and that we could save our lies for the police”. Around this time the police show up and separate us, my wife and I were immediately cuffed and detained while he was free to Nice Cthulhu Call Decline Accept Shirt run around and explain that I didn’t belong here. About 10 minutes later the builder showed up and explained the entire situation to the cops and we were good to go. As we were leaving my new neighbor flicked me off and yelled fuck you. So following your advice I called my lender to see if we could back out of our loan, she said we could not/ it would be incredibly difficult. After a lot of self-reflection and panic honestly, we chose to call our builder and see if he could get us the neighbors number.

I hate that happened but were you letting them run freely onto other people's property? I'm not for poisoning any animals, that's a dick move, but you also bear some responsibility allowing them to roam outdoors, especially if you knew this was one of many risks they would/could face.
