 My husband has no living grandparents, and only one living parent. His last grandmother passed a couple years ago at 93.My moms parents are still alive, and young.  Oh. Well my wife's district (I'm mid credential) doesn't have people write out lesson plans. They just kind of say go. So just thinking and going, "Hmmm... I think I'll try this tomorrow." is totally normal and actually encouraged.
