 Oh. Well my wife's district (I'm mid credential) doesn't have people write out lesson plans. They just kind of say go. So just thinking and going, "Hmmm... I think I'll try this tomorrow." is totally normal and actually encouraged. For the experienced teachers who know the content like the back of their hand, lesson plans are truly just a formality - they know what will be happening and they can make adjustments as needed.
